We welcome John C. Brewster to St. Luke as our new Administrative Secretary/Bookkeeper. John joined the staff at the end of April 2022 and jumped right in with assembling the weekly bulletin, the monthly newsletter, learning the Church Windows accounting system, and the host of duties that come with the office.
John is no stranger to church life, as he is the son of a Methodist pastor and serves as Director of Music and Organist for Advent Lutheran Church in West Lawn. He has also shared his musical talents with several other churches in the Allentown-Reading area, and teaches organ, piano, and voice.
He comes to St. Luke from jobs in the banking industry, with National Penn Bank and Santander Bank, but has embarked on a new spiritual journey and is enrolled at Lancaster Theological Seminary in their Master of Divinity program. His undergraduate degrees are in music performance and sacred music and music education from Lebanon Valley College.
We welcome John to the St. Luke family and promise not to throw him too many curves as he gets up and running in this position.
