TEFAP – The Emergency Food Assistance Program
TEFAP is back at St. Luke!
The Emergency Food Assistance Program is once again available in Eastern Lebanon County. Food distribution under the program returned in December, and will continue the first Friday of every month, from 3 pm to 6 pm, at the Miller Chapel Building. TEFAP is a federal program that helps supplement the diets of low-income Americans by providing emergency food assistance at no cost. It is administered locally through Lebanon County Christian Ministries.
Plans are also underway to restart the Sunday evening community meal program sometime in March, pending a positive outlook on the COVID front and likely modifications in how the meals will be served. The restart is also waiting for installation of the new flooring on the lower level of the chapel building. The meal teams are reorganizing and looking forward to welcoming folks back after the long COVID interruption.
Check back in the coming weeks for updated information on dates and times.
