Music has always been a large part of St. Luke’s worship history, from the Brass Band in the courtyard
that welcomes all to the traditional Christmas Eve services to the many concerts and performances
that highlight area musical talent. When a new grand piano was purchased for the sanctuary some
years back, the church embarked on a concert series that drew folks from throughout the Susquehanna
Valley.

Choirs:
St. Luke’s Senior Choir rehearses at 7 pm on Wednesday evenings except through the summer months. In addition to providing special music several times a month, the choir leads the congregation in hymn-singing throughout the service. The Junior Choir features children from whatever age they can stand and sing all the way up to the eighth grade. They rehearse on Sundays following worship. They also spread a lot of sunshine when they take their musical talents to nursing homes and others who may not be able to attend regular services. Monday Night Bible Study:
This group meets Mondays at 7:00 p.m. in the High School Classroom on the second level of Miller Chapel.  The group interacts with the Revised Common Lectionary lessons for the following Sunday. The missional lens through which Scripture and the communal and individual Christian life is viewed and assessed is Jesus’ birth, life, teaching, death, resurrection, and ascension.  Bring your Bible, heart, and mind open to the living Jesus through whom the community of God, Son, and Spirit is revealed.

Outreach:
St. Luke’s Outreach Committee seeks to build and strengthen relationships with all St. Luke members as well as visitors who want to learn more about St. Luke. Trained communion teams are available to provide home communion to those who are unable to attend regular services.
